Thanks for your desire to find out more about Creative
Promotions. My name is Wendell Gafford and I'm the President of this
independent radio promotions and marketing company.
I founded Creative Promotions in October of 1996. At the time, I was
Program Director for the Praise FM Network in Central Minnesota. I had
just left Mobile, Alabama based Integrity Music as Manager of Radio
Promotions, a position he had held since the fall of 1994. Before
joining Integrity Music, I served as Music Director for WFRN (an
Inspirational reporter at the time), serving the Elkhart/South Bend
markets in northern Indiana and southern Michigan (1988-94). |

As Creative Promotions began to grow and
develop, it became clear that the Lord was leading me to pursue Christian
radio promotions and marketing full-time. In the summer of 1998, I
resigned my position with Praise FM to pursue Creative Promotions on a
full-time basis.
When I started Creative Promotions, our focus was purely on radio
promotions, specifically to the Inspirational and Praise & Worship
formats. Our focus continues to be strong in the area of radio promotions
which now includes a focus on both the Inspirational and AC formats in our
partnership with AC music veteran Jim Veldhuis.
However, as we have worked more closely with Christian artists and labels
we have broadened our area of promotion to include Web site design,
developing multimedia press kits and presentations, video editing as well
as consulting. Our goal is to work closely with artists and labels
to develop creative ways they can use to more effectively communicate
their music and ministry.
