A true story about Leonardo da Vinci. When da Vinci was painting the ‘Last Supper’ he had difficulty finding models for the face of Jesus and Judas. He finally found what he considered the right face for Jesus Christ. Years later, the only face he had not yet  painted was that of Judas. One afternoon while walking in the slum area of his city, he found a man with a face filled with hate, outlined with the struggles, disappointments, pain, and sins of life. Da Vinci said he had never seen such a sadder man.
 
The man sat for the painting, and when da Vinci finished, he asked the man what his name was. The man said; ‘Don’t you remember me? Several years ago you used my face as the face of Christ.’

This causes me to take note that, a wise person will never forget that a little Judas resides in each of us! The scriptures tell us to ‘for him who thinks he stands, take heed lest you fall.’

I need God’s grace to guide and direct my steps everyday. The grace of God will keep me focused on keeping my eyes upon Him.

The Apostle Paul warns us about our attitudes. He speaks about us also staying ‘in the spirit.’ Because if we stray off the track, we’ll become like some people he spoke about of, ‘beginning in the spirit, but ending in the flesh.’

God’s grace is strong enough to keep you in every situation.
